Wailua, Kauai - Condo Rentals
Wailua, on the east coast of Kauai, was an area developed in ancient Hawaii forthe royal ali'i, who cultivated the land at the mouth of the Wailua River to create a sacred religious place to worship their gods. Today, the remnants of a number of their temples, or heiaus, are still available for visitation. The fertile lands of the river mouth are today a thick grove of coconut trees, which captivate and soothe many travelers who journey to Wailua. Indeed the numerous coconut groves in the area has led the eastern region of the island to be known as Coconut Coast, as the trees span miles of area even after developers had left their mark on the land. Wailua is an older resort town, but still possesses the charm it acquired in its beginnings to draw visitors to its shores. A number of beaches, shops, eateries, and nightlife options are located nearby most venues, which make it ideal for any vacationer.
